Glacier Ivy (Helix Cultivar)

Hedera Helix

Vigorous, evergreen, self-clinging or trailing vine with 3- to 5-lobed,
glossy leaves. Very hardy and trouble-free, though it should never be
allowed to grow up the trunks of trees.

Growing Conditions: Even though Hedera helix is generally considered a
vine, this plant is actually a climbing shrub.  It grows
better in the shade during the juvenile stage because only the
reproductive adult phase can tolerate high light conditions.

Watering:  Soil should be well drained, moist, and contain some organic matter.

Propagation: The ivies propagate naturally by layering. Simply cut off and pot up
stems that have rooted where they touch the ground. Stem cuttings, both
tips and sections, also root readily – often in a glass of water.
